Elává Kauppa

Picture
On Tuesday we went to a recycle store in Kuopio. Elává Kauppa makes with former prisoners products from recycled materials. This company was a great excursion, because it fits in the subject: ''Go for a greener Europe".

Elává Kauppa is a re-intergration project for prisoners and workless people. Elává Kauppa helps them to get some pocket money and make a new start.

Elává Kauppa sells used and new, selfmade products. Everyone can buy their stuff in the shop. They sell all kinds of home decoration.

This visit was a great experience. In Holland is this kind of shop more usefull then in Finland.

Tahko

Picture
On the Wednesday we went to Tahko after we had visited a company.  Tahko is an area where you can do different activities like, snowboarding, skiing, horse-riding, spa, blowing, ice driving, tour skating on naturel ice and spa service.

Almost everyone chose for skiing. I had never skied in my live and I had borrowed the ski-stuff of a friend of my. We went by bus to Tahko we had to drive with the bus for more than an hour. After we arrived we had to fit our ski-boot and then you had to go to a person we give you the ski-sticks  and the other parts of your ski-boots.  The people, who had experience with skiing, went skiing for themselves and got a ski-pass. The people with no- experience had got a ski-lesson for 2 hours. The ski-les was separated in two groups. One group with the persons who could ski pretty good and the others group who skiing less good. For me it was my first experience with skiing and it was very difficult, I had problems to go to the direction I want to go. I also had sometimes problems with understanding the ski-instructor. But after a while practising it went much better, and I did not fall so much as I started. At the end of the ski-lesson I was good enough to go higher on the mountain. I am not afraid of heights but when I looked how style the mountain was I was scared for one moment.  We went from the mountain and I went not the well as I had hoped for, but I enjoyed. After the ski-lesson we had a break for a lunch.
You could eat French fries with a hamburger and you could choose what you want to drink.  After the lunch we had an hour before we went to the hotel. I was tired of the skiing and with some others we decided to sit and enjoy of the sun instead of skiing. When we were sitting in bus, we heard we are going to visited a special place. When we arrived we saw that is was a ski-jump place. This is a typical sport in Finland. The people in Finland are very good in this sport.
